Keep your dog on the strap down the walkway until you get to the beach. Fresh drinking water is provided for your dog throughout the park, and there are benches for taking a moment’s rest. They even have a freshwater rinse to get your dog clean from the salt and sand before getting back in the car. Far away from the maddening tourist-centric beaches lined with tall hotels and no peace. You find Venice Beach. Miles of quiet paradise and beautiful blue/green water make this a haven. Just south of Venice Beach is Casperson State Park with miles of undisturbed land with no hotels, condos, houses. Just white sand, water, and palm trees. It’s the right place to spot dolphins, find seashells, sharks teeth, and sand dollars. Be wary of the red tide though. Some days are lovely, out here on the beach. Lots of great local restaurants nearby too.
